I run 8 plus 1 for ipsc competitions.i probably have 1k rounds through my trp. I think the mag slam pad is catching on the mag welland the magazine is recessed in the well .the reason I'm looking at adifferent mag well is because the current magwell seems a little to long.if the mag slam pad stuck out a little more I can seat it easier. Right now the whole magazine is recessed in the mag well. The whole issue is the mag is to recessed in the magazine well. If I did not have a magwell I would not have this problem.
Ok, it sounds more like you need longer mag slam pads.

These, made by Pachmayr, are pretty thin and normally used without a mag well.

On the other hand these Ed Brown pads are twice as thick, at least 3/8 total thickness, and work great with mag well guns.

By the way are you using Power Mags, and if so which basepad?
