Hi, I know it's not .45 ACP but I needed your opinions and wasn't sure if this should have gone in the 'general' department.

What's the cheapest brand of shotgun slug that I can use that would be safe to shoot from a 26" vent rib barrel, improved cylinder choke? I don't reload and will need quite a few. Mine are running almost $1 each shot.

Just posted a response to your question on the General board, but I found some Federal 12 GA 2 3/4" rifled slugs at Wal-Mart for $2.64 for a box of 5. Don't know if the choke will cause a problem or not. Not that familiar with shotguns.

You won't have a problem with the IC choke, but what you will have a problem with is accuracy. Rather, figuring out what is accurate in your shotgun.

There is no way to predict what will shoot fine and what will be a waste of range time. You'll have to try 'em and see. the most accurate in your gun may not be the cheapest. (Like the time my slug gun for Second Chance decided it would be most accurate with Brennekes!)

Good luck, and wear a recoil pad. You'll need it.
