Who is reloading or using a 165JHP in 45 ACP?
I have been useing 185's for the last 2000 or so rounds for pin shoots and a 200+PF I want to try a lighter bullet

Good luck finding any. Sierra makes the only jacketed ones I know of, and they send them all to Cor-bon. Even as a gun writer I wasn't able to talk Sierra out of any 165's.

Thanks for the info........I like the 185's... just have the itch to try something new. I'm going jacketed because I hate cleaning the ports in the comp.....ROFI

You might want to try Sierra's 185 JFPs. I load them over 1,100 with Accurate #5. My bet is they'd knock pins flat on their keister.

Actually, light weight needs lotsa velocity. You'd need all of that 1100fps and more. The favorite route is weight, using 230's or 240's. (I even loaded 265's for a while, but they didn't feed the comp very well.)
