Ed Brown Limited.

This is much closer to a true custom pistol than the other two. The better fit, finish and quality is imediately evident as soon as you handle the gun. I have heard that Baer does not have nearly the customer satisfaction rating that Wilson and Brown have. I have personally dealt with both Wilson and Brown and have had very positive experiences with both companies.

However, you will probably be happy with any of the three.

I'd get the Ed Brown pistol. I think he builds a better pistol.

Although I don't have personal experience with all of the guns you listed, I can tell you which would be my first choice. I would choose the Les Baer TR Special first (I did) followed by the Ed Brown. The Millennium Protector would be further down my list than 3rd. Not that it's a bad gun, but if I were to buy a Wilson Combat it would be the CQB. I would choose the TR Special first because it comes with everything I want in a carry gun and is much less than the Brown, but it is a tough call. The price is the deciding factor.

I used those choices three choices as they seem to be the baseline of each brand.

Any other comments would be appreciated...

Also, The TRS comes w/7rd mags - Are the 7 rounders more reliable?

I don't know that I would say the TR Special is Baer's "baseline" gun. I think if Baer even has such a gun it would probably be the Concept I or II (retail is $1390) or possibly the National Match Hardball Pistol (retail $1335). As for the 7 round mags - both my TR Specials actually came with 8 round mags. I do believe 7 round mags are more reliable but only marginally so.
