My question is threefold.
1. What are the specs on the factory sights? Cut size, type, etc.
2. Has anyone used Trijicon HD nights sights? I really want to use them, but don't know if they will fit or what needs to be done to make them fit.
3. If not does anyone else have any similar suggestions?

Yes I have them on my Ruger now, they took a bit to get the front sight in but they are excellent sights. For me they have greatly improved speed and accuracy for both first and follow up shots.

Which RIA? "Tactical" or standard Government? Tacticals use a Novak cut. Older Tacticals us a Novak "style", called style because it wasn't to true Novak specs. But, the proper sized cuts have been done for about 7+ years. If it's a standard Government slide, they use a narrow tenon. Which is put through a hole in the slide, then the end is peened/swaged so it can't come loose. There are narrow tenons(the original size), and wide tenons. I believe that RIA uses the narrow.

It's standard A1 Fs its not a Tac. And I would say it probably 6 or 7 years old
