Yours might, you'll need to try it and see. Seriously, since it's not as tricked-out and polished as higher end 1911s, it's really sort of a case-by-case thing, no pun intended. You could use the "search" function and pull up some recent anecdotal "evidence" from other members here...

Mine does...

Mine eats anything. HPs, SWCs, Ball, lead and jacketed, 185, 200, 230 grains. BUT, as stated above you will need to try it and see. My gun is not your gun...

Springfield does not make a GI issue gun. They make a few that outwardly look close from a distance. But that is as close as it gets.
