Hello
Does anybody have any loads with hodgen clays that will make major with 200 cast swc. How about titegroup ? Do some prefer one powder (clays or titegroup ). If so, why ?

dogdoc,

I shoot 4.5gr TG with a 200gr LSWC, which gives an avg. velocity of 825fps. If you're wanting a PF of 160, then this should do it.

You can also use Clays to get that velocity, but it's been so long since I've used Clays I can't remember the velocity vs charge numbers.

Good shooting.....Rod.

I have had good luck with meister 200gr swc over 4.4 - 4.8 grs clays, but you have to try the diff. loads in your pistol. this load will shoot fine in my kimber tgt 2 but is all over the paper with my springfield. try diff. grs of powder till you get an accurate load, good luck!
