Gunsmith tryed Ceiner kit on his other 1911s, it works well.
He also checked sizes with caliper and confirmed that Taurus has disconnector moved forward
in comparison with other frames..

(sorry i forgot to write down all the names of "other 1911")

I guess I would find a friend with another brand of 1911 to try the kit on, compare location of parts etc. this will let you know if it's related to the Ceiner kit or the Taurus frame.

A friend of mine tried a Kimber .22 conversion kit on a PT1911 and had the same problem. I'd take the Taurus to a gunsmith and make sure everything is in spec before cutting on what may be a perfectly good conversion slide.

[..somehow i killed very first post.. ]
[..about "PT1911 does not work with Ciener 22lr conversion.."]

so.. i believe PT1911 will have problems with other slides,
not only with 22lr conversions
because disconector hole is in the non standard position
