Can someone tell me if the .357 Auto and .357 Sig are one and the same or two different animals? Just saw the "auto" in a Glock publication and was wondering if it was in relation to the sig cartridge.
Yes, they are the same.
Glock is somehow reluctant to put the name of one of their competitors on their own guns. Just like most non S&W .40s are marked .40 Auto. They are more concerned with their advertising image than actually informing their customers.
This is not new.
Consider .38 S&W, .38 S&W Special, .38 Colt, .38 Colt Police Positive, .38 Colt New Police, .38 Colt Special. Quick, how many actual rounds?
