Yes, they are the same.
Glock is somehow reluctant to put the name of one of their competitors on their own guns. Just like most non S&W .40s are marked .40 Auto. They are more concerned with their advertising image than actually informing their customers.
This is not new.
Consider .38 S&W, .38 S&W Special, .38 Colt, .38 Colt Police Positive, .38 Colt New Police, .38 Colt Special. Quick, how many actual rounds?
