My question is on a S&W M&P .40! I know on the M&P .40 the mag is the same as the mag on the 357Sig. Does anyone know if you could put a 357sig barrel on the .40 and it function correctly???
I used to have a Sig Sauer in 40 S&W a Sig rep told it would shoot fine without any modifications... An old freind told me that he had did it with a Sig and it worked fine.... Smith and Wessons reps will not answer this...
Seems to me a 70.00 dollar barrel would be better than buying a 500.00 pistol..

It should work just fine, you may have to change the recoil spring but I wouldn't think so.

My understanding is that it's just a barrel swap. The recoil spring assembly are both the same part number. The hard part is finding a barrel. Midway sells them but pretty much never has any in stock.

I think im going to put me a barrel on order. I know there special order. It will be neat to be able to shoot the .40 and the 357Sig.. Im ordering from Midway...
