I have the 124 grain lyman conical bullet that I trying out that is supposed to be excellent for the 38 super. I am having trouble with failure to feed problems, I am using ww 231 for the powder. the shells seem to get stuck on the edge of the chamber or on the feed ramp. the gun is a colt combat comander that runs factory loads fine. What is your overall length for you loads

Is the Lyman bullet of a round nose design, or slightly shorter with a flat point? If rounded, you can experiment with overall lengths of 1.20-1.26" pretty easily, but I'd try 1.25" OAL first,, assuming you are not near 'max' load charges with 231. If a flat point/truncated cone, I'd try 1.20" first..
