Can a .38 super be built on a .45 frame? I realize the ejector and slide are different... But I have a .45 frame that is just begging to be completed. I've been thinking about .38 super a bit lately, and since the only .38 super I can get in the PRK is a Colt Series 80, it might be fun to have one built...

The .45 ACP and the .38 Super frames are different and non-interchangeable due to the ramp in the frame. Installing a ramped barrel in the gun can solve this. When we build .38 Supers here in the shop we install ramped barrels just as a matter of course.

Yes, but it requires a different ejector, for the frame as well as a complete 38super slide and associated parts...BJ
