Be verry careful when loading the Gold Dot. It does not take the charges a conventional JHP does. I do have a Speer manual at the house and will send you what they say. The 185's may be more forgiving, but the 230 grain is decidedly not. Acts more like a soft lead slug to me. Once I got the powder charge adjusted correctly for mine, it is the equal of the XTP which is my all time accuracy champ.
