I just found/purchased a NEW in the box 945-40 which is a 3.75" barrel .40 caliber. What an awesome piece. I plan on carrying this and am looking for an IWB holster. None of the major holster manufactureres carry anything for this particular gun, but Milt Sparks does carry one for the standard 945-1 in 5". Does anyone know if the outer dimensions (barrel aside) are the same between the two? S&W told me to order one for the 4013 saying that it's based off of the same frame, but the trigger guard profile is very obviously different. I have to say that this gun is amazing... feels real good in the hand and shoots way better than I do. There was some where the barrel slides into the frame durring lockup after 100 rounds... will clean it up and keep an eye on it. Other than that, this thing is flawless!

I use a High Noon Tailgunner with mine.

They pretty much fit into any Commander sized holster.

Enjoy,

Nah,

That is something that I am not at all worried about. The odds of that happening are just about nil.

If by some quirk it was to happen S&W would be knocking themselves out to correct the issue.
