Is their a legitimate reason to a ramped as opposed to an unramped 9mm para barrel in a 1911?
I understand the ramp from a operating pressure standpoint in a .38 super, but does the 9mm para cartridge operate at a high enough pressure to be a concern in a unramped barrel? Does the ramp allow better feeding with this cartridge than a unramped barrel?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
