I just bought this Colt 1908 Pocket Model .380. It is in perfect mechanical condition but it has come external corrosion. I had never shot one before and found it fun to shoot. The only other one I own is the GO .32 and I won't shoot it....

Dissambly and re-assembly is a PITA! Even when you know how...... I worked for a gunsmith back in the 1960's and we re-blued several and I know how to do but still a pain...

This one was made 2 years before I was born...

A true fun gun...

Congratulations! That is a really nice aquisition. From what I understand, the .380's are much scarcer than the .32's. Enjoy it. By the way, all you 1911 purists, please note the external extractor.:D

If you think the guns are scarce, try finding replacement factory magazines. :(

I inherited one from my Grandfather many years ago. It's history includes an amazing story, with my Grandfather pursuading an undesirable character back on the boat to Europe with it just after WWI.
He had it in a fireproof box for 70+ years and it has similar corrosion, but it my most treasured possession.
