Hey--what's the word on the new Colt 1991A1's? I am seriously thinking about buying one and building it into a bullseye gun. What has your experience been? How accurate, at 25 and 50 yards?

I have a blued 1991 with the new rollmarks, I replaced the plastic trigger with a Videcki trigger and the plastic MSH with a Wilson blue/arched steel MSH. At 25yds, offhand it was grouping 2.55in. Not bad for out of the box. It's on it's way to Wilsons for a match grade barrel/bushing/link and Armor-Tuff coating. Interestingly enough, the Safari Arms GI model I just picked up is averaging 1.7" at 25yds and it's all stock with no parts needing changing. It too has left, today via FEDEX to Wilson for an Armor-Tuff finish.

I can't really comment on the new Series 80 guns, but the new Repro's accuracy is top-notch. I originally had some 25yd accuracy concerns, but Mike Dillon, Winchester powder, Federal primers, and Vance bullets straightened that RIGHT out! Very acceptable accuracy for a Mil-Spec piece.
