I don't know about #7 but #9 has been good in .41mag for me. I've found some in 1 lb containers at LGS periodically but can't find any in quantity down here.

Not recently. Both are hit-n-miss. Mostly miss. They meter very well
so guys snap it up the moment it shows In Stock. AA#9 is especially in demand.

If you live near me I'll lend you a pound of each, no problem.

AA#7 is a good slow powder for standard cartridges like 45acp etc.
AA#9 is one of the best magnum powders but doesn't burn consistently
in standard cartridges. The inhibitor coating really needs high pressure
to initiate combustion. But once you get that pressure, it burns
relatively cleanly.

DK,

I've managed to find mine locally at Cabela's here in TX. If they have it available online, I believe that the shipping is still free at this time, but the hazmat fees apply.

I tried to get a "pick up at store" option for powder/primers earlier this year, but they would not allow that--it had to be shipped directly to me.

Powder Valley had some a couple of months ago, but it didn't stay in stock very long. I managed to get an 8 lb jug of #5 before everything disappeared from inventory.

I recently bought two 8# jugs of #9 from PV. Really need some more #5 right now.
