I'm looking at these exotic wood grips by Ahrends in the Brownells catalog. Gee, for $36.00, they sound like a deal. I'm thinking of Mayan Bloodwood (smooth) with perhaps some stainless steel Torx grip screws. Anyone have Ahrends grips? How do you like them?

Yep. I have two sets of Ahrends grips. I ordered mine from Don Williams @ www.pickagrip.com . Needless to say, they're fantastic and worth every penny.

Ahrends grips aren't in the same class as high grade Spegels but then neither is the price

Got the Cordia full-checkered on my Kimber SLE. Really sets off the stainless finish, and way, WAY, better than the stock rubber grip panels that came with it.

Got them from Brownell's, after looking at the different colors on PickAGrip.

Wow! Sounds like I can't go wrong! I'm going to go with smooth Mayan Bloodwood for mine.

Just ordered a set of Ahrends Officer's checkered Ebony grips.
Called direct (515) 532-3449. Got them in 2 days by mail.

Excellent quality and fit!
