I have heard some discussion here over the quality of ambidextrous safeties on Kimbers depending on the style and date of the safety.

I have a new Tactical II Ultra and use the LH safety exclusively. It feels as if there is a little play in the connect between the RH side primary. Not sure if this is normal or not. I understand that the RH is the actual safety, and the LH is simply an interconnect to it, so there might be built in play. What should I be looking for as far as problems?

I had the same thing happen to me on a full size springfield...basically, you'd have to keep pinching the two "ears" of the right side so that it retains a tight fit....after a while, though, you may end up with a piece of crap right side ambi....what i did was buy a King's ambi and fit it to the pistol....
