Finally got my Milt Sparks VersaMax II today. Just found it, as a matter of fact. Friends, this is ONE HECK of a durable holster!
The friendly UPS guy dumped the package off Lord only knows where. My dogs got hold of it. As I was walking out to the barn I spotted a piece of paper. When I bent down to police it up, I noticed it was my order confirmation from Sparks. Or was it? This thing says "Paid" and "shipped" on it. Hmmmm.....
I looked around and seen some garbage blowing around in the hayfield (thankfully, just mowed) and walked over to it. Sure enough, it was the remnants of the packaging. Cursing like a sailor, I frantically looked around for my hundred and thirty dollar rig. I found the polymer tabs first. Lightly chewed, but still functional. Good. Now for the holster itself. Nowhere to be found. Wait! There's something.
Then I seen it up close. Folks, I'm here to tell ya, this is one TOUGH cookie! Chew marks all over the place. Dents, scrapes, and scratches. My canines thought of everything, they even dented the metal snap! This holster is still 100% functional. I called Scott immediately and reported the shoddy UPS practice of just throwing HIGH DOLLAR merchandise around. He said he'd relay it on up the chain and told me that I could file a complaint with UPS myself. The package was insured. I declined as the holster is fully operational (just a little tight) and I've waited long enough for it already. I couldn't stomach being without it now that it's here.
Here's some pics. My digital camera sucks but you'll get the idea. The first one has a little better detail.

The second photo shows light-looking scratches on the front of the rig. Those are apparently drag marks.
This rig bears the Maker's Mark of a circled "JJ". Whoever you are, JJ, you done one heck of a job here! Tested to the extreme and utterly indestructable!!
