I bought this last fall and it sat with a Smith that was to busy to do some minor mods so I had him send it to me.

The night sights are dated 2013 and it doesn't look like it was shot much but not loving cared for either. It had many slight swirls on the slide and a faint idiot scratch as far down as inside the trigger scallop.

I broke the gun down and wet sanded the slide and frame with oil and a 1000 grit scotchbright and the results were amazing.

I think this is destined to be a two/tone bobtail. I'm going to have a local outfit swap in some new sights and DLC the slide. I have a Stan Chen thumb safety and an extended slide-release from Wilson for it -- and it should be a pretty sharp looking bobtail.

Nice V-Bob. I've got a 2012 model and have had no problems with it. Does yours have the Heinie rear sight? Or did they switch to in house rear sights that year?

Update, I fitted my first TS, a really nice Stan Chen and it was a fun project. The semi-extended slide-release was drop in.

I ran 80 rounds through it Friday without any issues. Now to get the sights swapped and the slide milled with Carry Cuts and DLC'd.
