When the favored candidate starts falling behind in the count no doubt somebody starts making a few phone calls.

Nahhhhh... it would be too paranoid of me to think that.
1980.

In the USA, that was Carter vs. Reagan, right?

In Puerto Rico, where I grew up, that was Carlos Romero Barcelo (roughly aligned with Reublicans, and the incumbent) vs. Rafael Hernandez Colon.(rougly aligned with the Democrats. Their logo was, and still is, Pan, Tierra Libertad - Bread, Land, Liberty)

The power goes out at the ballot counting center -- where ALL the ballots are counted. Now mind you, the Incumbent had a nice tight relationship with UTIER -- the Power Union (by Power, I mean electrcicity.)

WHen the power went down, the Incumbent was down.

When the power came back up, the Incumbent was up.

Tell me he didn't steal 1980. He totally did.

That can happen here.

Only I doubt it'd be the Incumbent, this time....

I believe Democrat Christine Gregoire stole the gubernatorial election here in WA in 2004 as well. She was trailing by several hundred votes in the end, but after two successive recounts and the sudden "discovery" of uncounted votes in liberal-leaning King County she surged ahead and won by just 129 votes. Republicans strongly suspected that many of those newly-discovered votes came from felons, double-voters and even dead people, but the state's left-leaning Supreme Court denied their challenge.

We haven't had a GOP governor since the 1990s, and I can't help but feel that it's been planned that way especially when most gubernatorial elections in this state have been extremely close.

Cops rarely ever live in the same communities they serve, as it lessens the chance they're going to prioritize their own neighborhood over others. Besides that, even for a Democrat you'd have to be pretty dumb to want to live in Seattle anymore.
And here I thought it was because they didn't like living around people they red flagged, pulled over for drive through their neighborhood after work in a workingmans car, might report them for having a loud party, etc., etc. I'm not anti-cop, I'm anti-corruption and anti-stupid people.

What really killed the GOP candidate was a bonehead libertarian candidate that wound up getting nearly 65,000 votes. If not for that it would not have been close enough for Democrats to cheat. This was a perfect example of how libertarians cause Democrats to win. It happened last year in Kentucky too.

“I think it’s a shame," Trump said. "I hate to see her go because she did, in her own way, a very good job."

Trump defends her. I think she was handcuffed. No pun intended.
And if she's paying attention, who has her back and who doesn't..hopefully she will realize her mistake in political alignment and correct it. Remains to be seen as to whether that happens or not. Personally, I would like to see another convert that begins to realize what is at stake here.

The Libertarian party exists because the Republican party has been failing to uphold its core values, including protecting individual rights guaranteed under the Constitution to include but limited to the Second Amendment. There are groups out there siphoning votes from the Democrats too, primarily those who are aligned with or are openly socialist or communist.

First time I heard him say that on TV, I thought, “She’ll get a job in some fashion with the White House.”
Goodbye troll.

Yes, because liberals are so open to changing their view.

She doesn't need a job. She was making $140 an hour when she retired.

She's been 30 years in law enforcement. Why would she want to keep answering an alarm clock?

I think some misguided individuals believe that about the Libertarian Party but when you look at what they actually stand for, open borders, unrestrained drug use, etc., Republicans don't seem quite so bad. There have definitely been a few cases where Libertarians have cost the GOP an important race just like one in Washington. I can't think of any elections where a third party has cost Democrats a race.

Libertarians are disaffected conservatives. I was one but switched back to the GOP only because I wanted a say-so in the primaries.

Anyway, we need to stay on guard and turn out the vote. As far as what I'm seeing and feeling, the liberals are in a state of panic right now. I think they know Biden is slipping cognitively and are scared to death that the rest of the world will begin to realize it more and more. No one is going to vote seriously for a guy who's confused, tired and basically qualifying as a Silver Alert.

They *want* us to believe that we're on the ropes but you all know that they are. One more Trump win and we secure SCOTUS for the next 20 years. Maybe... Clarence Thomas, one of my favorites, is getting up there. So, keeping the status quo means the presidency and the Senate, and that means reinforcing SCOTUS which is the real football here.

In Virginia a few years ago we had an AG election decided by 165 votes in a statewide election of over 2 million votes.

More than 165 non-citizens have been identified in Voter logs in only 3 counties in Virginia.

'Motor Voter' is doing exactly what the Dums that passed it desired.
