I know that Clark's specifically doesn't recommend using their 460 kit on a Daly, but they don't say why. If the problem was soft steel in the slide, has this been remedied in the Enhanced models? Now that I'm reloading, I could shoot 460 for around $10/100. I'm thinking a 230gr XTP at 1300 would be a sledge hammer on hogs and whitetail.

I've seen enough peened and beaten-up slides from "normal" .45 loads, I don't see any point in subjecting a CD to the Rowland. If you simply must, perhaps you should fit a harder slide to the frame, for use solely with the Rowland barrel?

The CD is a nice gun, but there is a reason it doesn't cost $1000.

Well, I didn't really think it was such a great idea either. So I bought a Norinco in good shape for $200 to build my 460 on.
