Turner's on Clairemont Mesa between 163 and Convoy on the south side of the street has good deals going on all the time.

I've heard the Del-Mar show is the place to get good prices on ammo although you'll have to shop. The price I was told can be different sometimes so keep a mental note of the price and take advantage when the price comes down. My buddy who goes frequently like the slightly blemished reloaded FMJ's. For practice the're more than adequate and are made well for reliability.

MiWall Corp is at every Del Mar Gun Show, but sometimes another large ammo vendor is there as well (when the show is 2 buildings instead of one) and they also have great prices. I always have a hard time finding cheap .45 because everyone's sold out... even when I go Saturday mornings. Sign up for Turners email list, sometimes they have some pretty amazing ammo deals. None of the regular gun shops have good prices for ammo in San Diego, at least from what I've seen...
