G-day, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! In 1999, Kahr purchased the rights to the AO 1911 and around the year 2001 produced a more stylish 1911 they called the Deluxe-80. You can view them here: Auto-Ordnance Model 1911A1 Deluxe 80 .45 Auto (genitron.com)

I was talking with a fellow gun enthusiast about these pistols and he said that he thought that the slides on the Deluxe-80 might possibly have been parts from the older Thompsons. He pointed out the angled serrations along with the larger roll-stamp.

Question: Does anyone know if Kahr in fact used older slides they may have had on hand on the Deluxe-80s and matched them to the newer Kahr-era 1911 frames currently made in MA?
