Where can I find the 4x scope that was originally designed for the AR 15 or M 16? It was the one that hooked on to the carry handle. Also, is this a good scope as far as quality and tuff-ness?

If you are talking about the one made by Colt I believe you can find them at www.deltaforce.com I would imagine several other places sell them also. As far as qauilty goes I have no personal experience.

Is it that you want a period correct assembled pre-ban? Or do you just want a really great 4x scope to go on the carry handle?

I was wanting the original 4x scope that was designed for the AR15. If I can't get that, I would like to get a good quality scope instead.

MINE WAS MADE BY COLT, OR AT LEAST HAS THE COLT LOGO ON IT.

I can not comment on the quality of the original Colt scope. I can say that an ACOG is outstanding.

Started to take offense in that one, 'til I got mien out and sure enough, "made in Japan'. Oh well, still a decent scope.

Except that it's also a 3x30. I think the original starter of the thread wanted a 4x.
