What are the benefits for and against arched and flat spring housings. I have some of both and enjoy shooting all. eg. arched on a 1911A1 by Springfield and flat on a Colt Gunsite.

HiCap, if you do a "search", you'll doubtless find many threads on this very subject. Not that folks here will mind fillin' up another new one, but in the meantime you can read up on where this topic has gone before.....BTW, can't really say I have a preference, seem to shoot the 1911 about as well either way.

It's strickly a matter of feel and pointing characteristics.

For some the arched feels and points more natural, but for the enlightened, nothing but a flat style MSH will do.
