I was comparing the ejector ports on the 3 different model Colt .45s I own. I noticed the Commander and Officer's ACP have lower cut ports and the GMs port is the highest of all. All mine function well. Since I bought all three used and believed they're all stock, Im wondering whether a former owner might have had one or more altered or are they stock? Here they are to help you decide.

The Commander, OACP, and Gold Cup have always had "lowered ejection ports". The Government Model had the government-specified (small) port until the '80s. The Series 70 repro currently in production also has the small port, as that was standard on the original Series 70s.

My Gold Cup Commander and my Combat Elite both have the lowered ports like the top two in your photo. My GC Commander was about 1990 production. The Combat Elite was late '80s I believe ( it's the fixed sight, rounded slide version ).
