I've got about 250 rounds through my Eclipse II and they're still okay but I don't expect them to last much longer based on others experience.
Mine failed, third range session, 360 rounds.

I've got 2000 rounds through my Custom CDP and 50 rounds through my Ultra Eclipse. No problems, still bright as ever. By the way, this new Eclipse is Awesome! Every bit as accurate as my full size.
I have seen a lot of bad press on Kimbers night sights on the web in the past few months, what gives Kimber? All these shooters can't be wrong.

My front site went dark on my Eclipse after about 500 rds. From now on I will do my best to steer clear of these sights after reading about all the problems with them. I would suggest that if your sights go dark, it's not worth the time, money and effort to send it back to have them replaced only to have it happen again. Just shell out the few extra bucks up front and have them replaced with better quality night sights. You got to figure that if you send your gun back 2 or 3 times in the first year you own it for warranty replacement of the sights, you're already out $70-$100 bucks, not to mention the time you go without your gun.

Yeah and 70-100 bucks will buy you a nice set of Trijicon sites. Thats my next upgrade every friend I have that has them loves em.
Kimber Eclipse :
Front Sight died after about 500 rounds.
I will get another brand if I ever want
night sights.
I have a 1000 rounds+ through my Custom Eclipse II and it still is working fine.
HEY GUYS:GUNNUTS HERE,I have a SIG-P239 with a set of Trijicon's that are about 5+ years old and they are brighter than a lot of the NEW MEPROLIGHTS I've seen on KIMBERS?
Kimber Custom Eclipse II, 220 rounds fired.
