Saw a post alluding that Para frames, slides, etc. are all cast, not forged or machined. True? Quick perusal of their website showed no real specs, just overall stuff.

I don't want to hear either how cast, MIM, etc. is "just as good" these days as forged or machined. 'cause they ain't! They might be getting close in density, etc., but there's no way I'd want a high stress part cast or MIM if I had a choice given similar grades of steel/aluminum.

"Machined" parts ain't special as they can be machined from forgings, castings, or solid blocks of material.

Since I've never read that any Para Ordnance parts are machined from drop forgings I assume they're machined from castings.
