Called Springfield don't think the lady understood what I was trying to tel her. So I sent them an email with pictures. What do you guys think can feel the ring with my finger nail.

It's a two piece barrel. Perfectly normal.

Springfield used to use two piece 1911 barrels. I don't think they do anymore??
It's a perfectly good barrel, shoot it.

Ok thanks. Had it put in new earlier this year got less than 50 rounds through it.

Same barrel that's in my pistol and its been going strong since 1992 and with untold amounts of ammo threw it.....
