Barrel Link Pin Question Again

I have read many of the posts here on the issue of a loose barrel link pin.
I sent my TRP to Tripp to get hard chromed. It came back bone dry, so I disassembled to lube.
The link pin will not just fall out by itself. I at least have to tap it. But is comes right out.
So I called Tripp about it. He said that it is OK as is. It is captive when assembled. He did say if the pin just falls out by itself, it may be too loose.
I shot this 1911 before sending and did clean it after firing. I did not notice the pin issue then, but I wasn't really looking. The gun is a great shooter.
So I am going to assume that after what Tripp told me and what most say in these threads that I can just go shoot the dang thing.

What say you?

Virgil is right...go ahead and shoot it because that pin is in fact captive. The only time it'll be a problem, if it's REALLY loose, is when assembling the pistol it can catch as the slide is moved onto the frame.
