Yep. High heat Chevrolet orange engine paint. It holds up for about a mag worth of rds, then you have to clean it off with a toothbrush and WD40(or at least that's what I use). If i ever get off my lazy azz, I'll do something more in-depth on the Hogue grips and the P13 mags. Both mods work just fine and a $10 dremel from harbor fright is all you need.Did you paint the front sight? Thanks for pic
Has anyone found a lighter hammer spring for the bbr 3.10?BBR 3.10 Short & Fat.
While surfing the Webernets, I came across an item in stock that I previously thought that was made from Unabtainium.
I of course immediately checked the funds in my “have to have” secret cash stash, & had enough to order said item.
Well two weeks later (there was a discrepancy in the sellers records and the new address of my go to FFL when they sent their information for my order, my FFL moved 3 doors down in the shopping strip to a bigger section.) I picked my BBR 3.10 Friday.
I immediately noticed that there was some differences. Here is a link to the RIA site with the spec sheet for the model in question (51577).

I noticed that there was only one magazine included in the case. All the online reviews (written & Video) claimed that they had gotten two magazines in the case.
Also I noticed that there was no fiber optic front sight (as stated in the RIA spec sheet), just a serrated ramped front sight in black.
And finally the short 3.10” barrel and slide is ported ! Three ports on the barrel itself, and three ports on the slide to allow the ports on the barrel to vent out.
I am wondering how much the porting is going to affect muzzle velocity as the 3” barrel is going to lose some velocity as it is.
I wrote an email to RIA, and got a response today. Basically it said that these changes, front sight and porting, were made due to a factory recall to improve reliability.
I will get to the range as soon as I can to tell you all how it runs with hard ball and my preferred carry Ammo.
Well, this has been a long write up, so here are the pictures you are screaming at me to shut up and get to......

The magazine collar for the 13 round where did you buy them from?BBR 3.10 Short & Fat.
Another update,
I played around with the P-13 magazines and got one to work properly, to seat, hand cycle rounds through the BBR 3.10 and lock back on an empty magazine.
First I had to cut the mag catch notch a little higher.
One on the right in the pictures

Then trim the grip collar to fit the profile of the BBR 3.10 frame bottom.

Now it fit great with a full 13 rounds in the magazine on a closed slide.

Now to get the other one altered to work too.
I don't know that anyone has discovered the spring rates on the BBR. Customer service may be able to tell you. Hit em up and get back with any info. I'm using the EGW recoil spring and it runs fineHas anyone found a lighter hammer spring for the bbr 3.10?

I just had my front site cut back away from the port. I had about 60% cutoffI have not installed the trit front yet. First fit of the 507k was unsatisfactory. Following up on 507k: I had it back for a week. But it is back with the smith (Briley in Houston) for corrections. When I picked it up, I tried to sight just to get a feel, but I couldn't find the reticle. Immediately thought Holosun had released a defective unit. When I got home, where I could investigate without alarming folks, I discovered they had not installed the battery. So, I installed the battery and found the reticle. Took it to the range with the goal of zeroing at 10yds to start. My laser bore sighter is too long for the BBR barrel so I started in on an oversized target. First time I punched paper, POI was a couple feet low. Started working POI up but found mechanical limit of 507k while POI was still more than 2 inches low. Well, I got real curious about bore alignment so I ordered a 9mm laser cartridge. Cartridge confirmed windage was awesome. It also showed me that, at 10 yards, bore is aligned with the bottom edge of the 32moa circle. This won't fly at the upper mechanical limit of the sight. And ... back it went. I explained my issues carefully for one of Briley's Smiths when I returned it for the fix. I'm a little concerned that he didn't even want to see what the laser cartridge shows clearly (I know he was interrupted from whatever he was working on to talk with myself and a guy with questions about his STI's trigger. So, I explained that I need them to return the sight to the middle of its 87 clicks of elevation (I counted) then correct the slide cut so it shows POI at POA in the center of the elevation range. I hope to update on the trit sight shortly. In the mean time, I will say I'm expecting it to be a regular RIA sight cut. I ordered a trit front for an officer size rock. Every Rock front I've swapped is the same dovetail - am hoping that holds. Sent from my Lenovo YT3-X90F using Tapatalk
I had the front site cut away from the ported hole. I had about 60% cut away from the port.Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm going to anyway. Any thoughts on night sights for the BBR 3.10? Would the front sight survive very long, because of the ported barrel? Thanks in advance...Clint
Howdy and welcome aboard.I had the front site cut away from the ported hole. I had about 60% cut away from the port.
