Berryville Bash - 10th annual Bash

Next year's Berryville Bash will be the 10th Annual "Berryville Bash", aka Berryville Bash X. There are two parts to the Bash: the Reunion Bash starts Monday, May 8th, and runs all week, while the Main Bash is Thursday and Friday, May 11th and 12th. Generally, the Bash is about friendship in the shooting community, informal IDPA type shooting, with lots of shooting, eating at local establishments, and good friendship. The "Main Bash" consists of an evaluation shoot Thursday morning for new shooters who are attending the "Main Bash", with a tour of Wilson Combat facility on Thursday afternoon and a chance to talk to a few gunsmiths there, plus a Wilson conference room "show and tell" Thursday late afternoon. Friday, May 12, the "Main Bash" folks shoot with the Wilson combat folks on their shooting range. That's the high-level view. All who signup can shoot with the Reunion folks all week, while the "Main Bash" attendees will be drawn randomly from a hat due to limited capacity. If you aren't drawn initially - don't fret, there are always cancellations due to work, family issues, etc., so you might move up the waiting list to an active "Main Bash" spot. Please also inform me are you signing up for the Reunion Bash only, the Main Bash only, or both.

The itinerary will be sent to all that have signed up, including the TBA details that get refined as the Bash gets closer.

So, that out of the way, the official signup period will start next Tuesday morning, August 23rd, and run until midnight Tuesday, September 12th. The drawing will be held shortly after for the "Main Bash" attendees. The signup will consist of sending me a PM via this forum between those two dates, with your name, address, email, phone number, if you are attending solo or planning to bring a guest, and your t-shirt size if you want a Bash t-shirt (they run $25 each). Your contact information will not be shared with anyone that YOU do not give it to, so it will be kept confidential. The only cost to you is the range fee of $2 per day per shooter at the Reunion and the evaluation shoot, your food costs, your ammo and guns, and your motel costs. The range costs are paid to me because I pay for all shooters for the whole week, but lodging and food are paid directly to the motel or restaurant we visit.

We shoot approximately 200 - 250 rounds per day of shooting. The itinerary will detail what you need for dress, equipment (most of you already have the needed equipment and clothes). If you have any questions, feel free to PM me with any that you have, and I will answer. Hope to see you in Berryville next May,

I had the drawing this morning, and the names listed below are for the Main Bash (the part that Wilson hosts Thursday afternoon and all day on Friday), with the waiting list below that. EVERYONE is qualified for the Reunion part (Monday through Friday at Luther Owens Memorial Park). If you appear on the waiting list don't despair - there are always cancellations as time gets closer due to weddings/funerals/medical procedures/work/family issues, and as those happen, I will contact the next person on the waiting list.

For the Main Bash roster, in order drawn, here are the names:
Jlamb & guest
Jim Wall & Nick of Milt Sparks Holsters
Flechero
fj40
Chance-dg & guest
BigBadBob7 & wife
James3612
Jerry1834
Jason Winnie
aaronsappl

On the waiting list in order drawn:
Ytown1911 & guest
1whobuys & guest
apipeguy & guest
A husband & wife not on this forum
M.Mcmill85 & D.1911
Eric & wife

Congrats to all who were drawn first up. Those who are on the waiting list, don't be disappointed in the drawing - we have had cancellations every year, so there is a chance to move up into the Main Bash roster. Thanks to all who come for either the Main or the Reunion Bash, and to my humble and capable RSO's who help me every year.

I forgot to add: I will send out an itinerary as time gets closer - probably around February timeframe.
Thank you for the notification Roger. YES THANK YOU, You do so much for this get together and so much on the forum. We appreciate you and always look forward to your posts. I really am looking forward to this spring. Wahooooo LOL
I have a LOT of work to do in the coming months. That means a LOT of ammo expended so I am getting off of here and into the loading room.
Thank you Roger, and everyone that helps make this work!

Great list of people- good friends and good friends to be! I'm buying a lotto ticket tonight and hopes that the day's good fortune holds!!!!

OK, I may have told my wife that the Wilson group has an unwritten mandatory social obligation to purchase a gun, you know to reciprocate their generosity!

Hopefully you can make it that week but considering your other numerous obligations which you told me about, completely understandable. Is your guest still going to come even if you have the other "engagements"?

Roger, thank you for the time you put into to the bash every year. It’s definitely appreciated by all.
Thanks Roger! Been on a cruise ship for 5 days that turned into 7 because of the Hurricane - Tampa was lucky again!
Hi Roger. If somebody cancels at the last minute and you can't find a replacement from the back-up list, PM me. I live 2 1/2 hours from Berryville and could make it on a moment's notice.

Brad, you are welcome to join us for the Reunion Bash the first 3 days of the week. Let me know if you would like to do that. Those who are not on the roster for the Main Bash (the Wilson hosted part on Thursday afternoon and all day Friday) often get together shoot at Luther Owen's Park on Thursday and Friday without the Main Bash folks. This gives them an opportunity to choose their own drills they want to practice and a more relaxed practice session.
Thank you Roger. I will consider that. But my first choice, of course, would be to go to the afternoon show and tell and then shoot at Ryan's range with Bill and the boys the next day. If anyone drops out at the last second, and you can't get a replacement, I'm your man.
Understood Brad, we will see what transpires. I will send you a PM about catching up on stuff, it has been a while.
Thanks for putting in the work to do this for us, and I'm never bringing Jim Wall to the dance with me again... LOL!
