Berryville Bash - 10th annual Bash

Next year's Berryville Bash will be the 10th Annual "Berryville Bash", aka Berryville Bash X. There are two parts to the Bash: the Reunion Bash starts Monday, May 8th, and runs all week, while the Main Bash is Thursday and Friday, May 11th and 12th. Generally, the Bash is about friendship in the shooting community, informal IDPA type shooting, with lots of shooting, eating at local establishments, and good friendship. The "Main Bash" consists of an evaluation shoot Thursday morning for new shooters who are attending the "Main Bash", with a tour of Wilson Combat facility on Thursday afternoon and a chance to talk to a few gunsmiths there, plus a Wilson conference room "show and tell" Thursday late afternoon. Friday, May 12, the "Main Bash" folks shoot with the Wilson combat folks on their shooting range. That's the high-level view. All who signup can shoot with the Reunion folks all week, while the "Main Bash" attendees will be drawn randomly from a hat due to limited capacity. If you aren't drawn initially - don't fret, there are always cancellations due to work, family issues, etc., so you might move up the waiting list to an active "Main Bash" spot. Please also inform me are you signing up for the Reunion Bash only, the Main Bash only, or both.

The itinerary will be sent to all that have signed up, including the TBA details that get refined as the Bash gets closer.

So, that out of the way, the official signup period will start next Tuesday morning, August 23rd, and run until midnight Tuesday, September 12th. The drawing will be held shortly after for the "Main Bash" attendees. The signup will consist of sending me a PM via this forum between those two dates, with your name, address, email, phone number, if you are attending solo or planning to bring a guest, and your t-shirt size if you want a Bash t-shirt (they run $25 each). Your contact information will not be shared with anyone that YOU do not give it to, so it will be kept confidential. The only cost to you is the range fee of $2 per day per shooter at the Reunion and the evaluation shoot, your food costs, your ammo and guns, and your motel costs. The range costs are paid to me because I pay for all shooters for the whole week, but lodging and food are paid directly to the motel or restaurant we visit.

We shoot approximately 200 - 250 rounds per day of shooting. The itinerary will detail what you need for dress, equipment (most of you already have the needed equipment and clothes). If you have any questions, feel free to PM me with any that you have, and I will answer. Hope to see you in Berryville next May,

The reservations for the Wednesday evening dinner have been made. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Is there a specific dress code for GC? Looks like a nice place...
I've got Berryville on the list of Harley rides from Atlanta. Might make it happen this year, but can't make it in May. I look forward to seeing some great pictures from the event.
Great riding in that area been doing it for years.

LOTS of bikers doing scenic drives in that area of Arkansas. When I hunted with a friend of mine north of Mt. Ida, we had biker groups come through all the time on Hwy. 27 - it is considered a scenic drive, as well as Hwy. 23 west of it starting around Ft. Smith. Lots of scenic drives for bikers in that area. Highway 62 intersects with 23 in Eureka Springs.

I usually wear clean jeans and a safari shirt of sport shirt. They have an excellent menu of various main courses, but their specialty signature dish is Prime Rib, it's one of the best Prime Rib dishes you'll ever eat.

Don’t let Roger fool you, he can be a trickster and may at times fool people who are coming for their first time.

The owners are very much 70’s people and they prefer to have their male patrons wear polyester leisure suits. As this will be before Memorial Day a darker plaid pattern is in order.

I don't think you could have picked a better smith than Greg Derr, he does such fantastic work.
I am honored and very pleased he is taking this on for me. His work is exquisite. I just got the Springfield back today with a completely refinished slide and frame. It is beautiful to behold and everything I expected and more. I will clean it and get some range time with it tomorrow.

Bring it to the Bash.

You guys are killin' me! If I had something like that, I'd bring it for the laugh... but considering I wasn't even born until '71... I got nothing! I don't have a porn stache and my dress wardrobe didn't have a boing-cha-cha-boing-boing tv commercial. 😅

I will if I have it back by then, and my Guardian for a lot of Super fun. I know the bluing is thin and it could be prone to wear. The refinish slide is beautiful to behold. I have an old Ruger SBH that has been all over Montana in a cheap Uncle Mike's belt holster and the finish has held up beautifully. I can only hope this one will hold up near as well. Finish wise.
If I remember correctly - nice biker attire works. Now, If you really want a polyester leisure suits let me know. I can go to the Flea Market and probably find more than one. Remember, I am in Florida - the land of old people and they are always cleaning out there closets.😂

I trust you are speaking of leather biker attire and not Spandex bicycling attire. LOL
I may pack slacks and a sport coat just to spite you guys... that could get me the chef's table! :p

I don’t think Eureka Springs has any sport coats. Maybe the funeral director, but that’s about it.

Well, I'm not doing starched jeans or a scarf... I guess I'll have to be seated at the kids table! ...lol

Leather all the way - no real biker would be caught dead in Spandex unless ………!!!!!
Anyone bring a expensive High Point in 9mm?

Every year! I have an amazing new Swampfox optic on mine with a stellar Trica weapon light. You’ll love the blue-camo-woodland cerakote job and the fancy Uncle Mike’s rig I had custom made for it.
