I apologize in advance for my ignorance

, but I noticed that there are two types of BHP, one with a flat and one with the outside extractor(MKIII). What's the difference between the flat one and the one that a MKIII has? Which one is better? Thanks!

Hello. The internal extractor has not been used for years by FN. The external one was probably adopted to cut costs. I cannot say which is "best," but state only that the current ones work very well.
