Great Post! I read that several years ago and am glad someone found it and re-posted it. I have always been a 230-250 man. If it opens-great, if it doesn't- it's still a 230gr slug. Clint Smith (Thunder Ranch) has for years backed the 230FMJ. Recently in an article he states that he also advocates using Corbon 165gr. Powerball. Tracy

Those of us with .45's need to get rid of the light loads at target practice and stock up on the 200 - 230 grain bullets. That's where the penetration is and that's where the .45 rules.
