Big Bullet = Stopping Power

The larger bullet, the better the result. I really think the issue is summed up well in the following article:


Those of us with .45's need to get rid of the light loads at target practice and stock up on the 200 - 230 grain bullets. That's where the penetration is and that's where the .45 rules.

Great Post! I read that several years ago and am glad someone found it and re-posted it. I have always been a 230-250 man. If it opens-great, if it doesn't- it's still a 230gr slug. Clint Smith (Thunder Ranch) has for years backed the 230FMJ. Recently in an article he states that he also advocates using Corbon 165gr. Powerball. Tracy
