Hi All,

Just wanted to share with you my latest project. This is my first attempt at bobtailing. Wasn't too bad, especially if you have the EB jig. I used a milling machine to relocate the MSH pin hole and for the rest, good old elbow grease. I also did the bobtail on a Caspian aluminum frame, but that one is still a ongoing project, so when it's done, I'll post some pic's.
I apologize for the poor quality of the pic's. It's the best I can do with my $50 camera.

is that an aluminum frame or stainless?
If it is aluminum did you refinish it or doctor up the edges?
Looks good. Thinking of doing that mod to my carry gun

That's a SS Kimber. I'm still working on the AL frame gun, it still needs parts, etc, since it's a from the ground up build job. I've not even decided on what caliber yet.

nice work! really like the shot from the back - shows how consistent the new profile is on the each side of the mainspring housing where the bobtail cut was made. congrats.

ok i thought i had a nice looking gun with some nice bells and whistles then i looked at yours , I wanted a custom gun and sorta have it , wish mine turned out like yours
