I know its not a Colt but I wanted a WWII era 1911A1 and plus I'am from the city were this baby was made! Syracuse, NY. I am still in the early stages of my 1911/A1 education but I like GI guns. Any comments on the limited info from the description? I hope I did OK. Looks like a nice gun. I had to sell a nice FAL to get this but I think it was worth it. I've wanted one of these forever! Man I really happy about this!

what is it? No marking on barrel? Do not see any marking on slide either. What Mnfctr made it? The seller does not seem to be offering much info IMHO.

It's a Remington Rand. I have one just like it made in '45. I think all the WWII pistols were made exactly like the Colts except for the roll marks. If you like the Colt, you'll like the Remington Rand. Does this sound coherent? I just attempted two jacked up posts on the Springfield section of the forum!
