Just picked up a barely fired (50 rounds?) Heinie PDP 5' 45ACP. Ran to the range to check it out and it ran perfectly but...I couldn't hit a thing. Looked like 12 ga. pattern. Also had my Colt Classic with me so I tried that out figuring maybe the operator was just having an off day. Nope, the Colt shot beautifully so my question is will the PDP, which is VERY tight break-in a bit or is it perhaps just not a good fit for me or do I just need to just get used to it? Thoughts? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Wow! That's surprising. I would like to know what turns out to be the issue.

So it seems that 70 year old eyes on a new shooter don't adapt to heinie straight eight sights at first. I wasn't really sure what to line up, lol. Watched some YouTube on it and my groups look like they usually do. I did swap the original grips out for some Nighthawk aggressive ones. Far better experience!

Nice looking gun.

I hate straight 8's, I can't think of a worse sight picture for a quick draw and target acquisition.
