Thanks for the great summary Wildbob!

Well, in Ocean County that is a great improvement if the newly appointed Judge is issuing permits without restrictions. Really good news...Some one posted on the NJGF that he is Pro-2A, I think this news from Nappin confirms as such.

It might be the best thing for us (in a way) that Murphy is in essence compiling the entire lunacy of all the County Judges (who are not following the law) and then some into one bundle of crap which ANJRPC and all of us through donations and political action at one time and with full force will beat. I think it will be easier to beat this in one fell swoop as a bundle especially that it would impact all counties equally if put into law (which should motivate all gun owners here to dig deep into pockets and do everything else ANJRPC asks in support).

This is the "Empire Strikes Back" phase, but we will beat them in the not so distant future.

Keep the Faith!

Ocean County has added another judge to help with permit approval due to volume. He is applying no restrictions. Other judge is applying every restriction she can think of. Crap shoot who you get.
Wildbob, someone reported on the NJGF last week that in Ocean the NEW judge was appointed to handle all permit applications that are approved...And the OLD Judge just handle only permits-A. that are denied. This is what the court-clerk told him.

I never quite full understood the clerk's statement as it doesn't explain who determines which "batch" the new application goes in.

Do you have any other notes on this matter as to what exactly Nappen meant? Is he in fact saying both judges have the same role but the permit load is being split (more or less) 50-50%?

Thanks

That is true, but that is how it is done in what's left of the America we grew up in...The alternative is to do something foolish like march on Murphy's capital peacefully protesting and carrying with no carry permits. Murphy will just love that, he can lock-up all the gun owners there in one batch, charge them with felonies and after they are convicted they can never have a gun ANYWHERE in the USA!!

Nope, not a good way to go...Yep, we have to do the dance, and lets not loose sight of how far we have come, many counties are issuing unrestricted permits 100% - viola!...Some counties restricted permits - that is still a swag of 50% more than we had as far as what is legal here.

We have come a long way Baby in just a few months...We will get much further there after we strike down most of Murphy's new restrictions...And yea, lefty will make another attempt, but it be weaker the next time, and the time after, ad infinitum, until it becomes virtually meaningless.

The AG can't do anything at this point, I am very grateful that he went against his party's dogma and followed the SC ruling within 24 hours with an AG-Order to drop justifiable need requirement...His chain of responsibility is doing the right thing too, the NJS-Troopers and almost all of the PD'mets...Right now some of the Judges are the problem, the AG has no control over them at all, entirely different branch of government.

As far as Murphy, all the AG can do is advise him, Murphy is his boss and is going to follow the Lefty Dogma, I don't think anyone should be surprised this was coming.

Most of the Lefty proposals will be overturned. We will win the SC ruling gave us so many tools to do so.

When ANJRPC gets Murphy's new unconstitutional gun laws destroyed that solves the activist judge problem too...But I do hope in the mean time said judges are taken to court on an individual bases...Nappen/David has said this is in progress but it takes time.

WillBob, did Nappen give any update about suing over the "no car carry" issue in Monmouth and Ocean?

Nappen said they will split the approvals. I used to be on NJGF about 12 or so years ago. I got off it because they were spreading rumor as fact. I don't see much of that on this site. That's why I signed up.
Pretty amazing, it is crazy enough that there are big differences btwn counties, but in Ocean, there is big differences btwn the 2 Judges issuing permits...1/2 of us will have restriction and the other half not (except the ones already in law). That is going to be interesting when a permit holder is stopped for one reason or other.

I say great, lets get this over with now...Lefty will be sorry they ever proposed these, they will fail in the courts just fortifying the SC ruling EVEN more...They are almost laughingly PRPOSTUROUS, I can probably beat them in court and the only Lawyer training I have is from a home study course :).

My letter is done and sent to the NJ Legislators per ANJRP's instructions.

It feels really good to be part of the effort to defeat 2A tyranny in NJ. A tyranny which has been here for over 100 years...We can all tell our stories to our Grand Kid's on how we supported freedom, a freedom, God willing, that they will have much longer than we did in our life times in NJ.

Please Keep Contacting Legislators!
October 14, 2022. On Monday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m., the New Jerey Assembly Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider A4769 – legislation designed to do an end-run around the U.S. Supreme Court’s ground-breaking Bruen decision and destroy right to carry in the Garden State, among many other things.

Listen to the hearing by clicking here at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 17. Find Assembly Judiciary Committee and click to listen.

Among many other things, this legislation would impermissibly:

-Ban carry in common public places by labeling them as “sensitive places.” Includes parks, beaches, restaurants, theaters, stadiums, arenas, and many other common public places.;

-Ban carry inside one’s own car;

-Bans carry at public gatherings;

-Ban carry on all private property automatically, unless the property owner specifically posts notices specifically allowing it;

-Significantly increase fees for purchaser credentials and carry permits, discriminating against low-income citizens;

-Mandate liability insurance (which may not even be available) as a pre-condition to exercising carry rights;

-Mandate a new training requirement beyond the already-difficult one that has existed for many decades;

-Allow towns and cities to invent their own unique and inconsistent rules banning carry;

-Limit carry to holster-only, with retention strap (no purses, fanny packs, briefcases, standard holsters without strap, or other recognized modes of on-body or off-body carry);

-Use prior speech (like online posts) as a basis to deny purchase and carry credentials;

-Allow denial of credentials based on purely subjective factors like someone’s “character” or “temperament.”

PLEASE IMMEDIATELY CLICK HERE TO CONTACT EVERY NJ LEGISLATOR. Tell them to PLEASE VOTE NO ON A4769 /S3214 ATTACKING RIGHT TO CARRY IN VIOLATION OF THE U.S. SUPREME COURT’S BRUEN DECISION. THE SUPREME COURT HAS SPOKEN, AND RIGHT TO CARRY MAY NO LONGER BE DISRUPTED OR INFRINGED BY STATE LEGISLATURES OR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS. ALSO, MICRO-MANAGING METHODS OF CARRY, AND DENYING PERMITS BASED ON PRIOR SPEECH AND “CHARACTER,” ARE ILL-CONCEIVED AND UNLAWFUL.

Yea, the amazing thing about the Lefty is they can say this **** (about enjoying shooting and the BS after it) with a straight face in public. LOL

The X-training will be "interesting". If it is Use of Force training (more of it) I am ok with it...If it is more quals like every 6 months that will be unfortunate. And if they start specifying what the individual qual needs to be (beyond what is coded now, ie,:show safe handling with a gun) that would be BS also.

But rest assured there are people in our own gun community in NJ who would just LOVE to sell more frequent quals and more courses to us...Crap, my range is charging $100 a gun. I would'nt us them unless they were the only game in town...100$ a gun every 6 months forever by thousands of shooters would put a BIG smile on their face - early retirement ;-).

At any rate, I sent one e-mail today and one yesterday to both the NJ "Ass." :) and Senate, this is what ANJRPC asked us to do...Did you guys send yours yet?

It is time for Nappen, ANJRPC, Dan, and everyone else to stop playing softball...Up to this point on several vids they said they where trying to reason with the (some) Judges who are putting Constitutionally Illegal restrictions on the permits. They said if reasoning didn't work they would put suits on the Judges of civil and perhaps criminal nature. Well, now is that time. They need to do this in parallel to fighting the Legislative anti-constitutional effort. The legislation fight could easily go on for a year (or more) in the courts. Hopefully we get a stay in our favor like they did in NYC...But in the short term, the NJ "judiciary" needs to be dealt with in a legally very strong manner, we are well past the point of thinking the offenders of the Constitution will change otherwise.

I listened to #103 it is one of his best.

He is very top notch, he knows the history of 2A like the back of his hand, most of these will be defeated, only question is how long it will take.

Someone posted on the Ocean CCW facebook page that the New Judge Ryan is issuing permits without additional restrictions...This is very positive for now in this long battle in progress...The poster got this from the Clerk over there who was also told by her boss recently she can't give individual status anymore, like your number in the line.

I left a question there/fb if the original judge who restricted everyone is involved at all at this point.

Here is a happy thought: We have a very good chance of getting an injunction on the Legislative insanity just like "vs NYC" did. If we do get an injunction would that mean the activist judges are overruled for now?

Go figure, I never use a retaining strap on a holster...I just got a awesome Jason Winnei pancake holster, if that part of the laws sticks I'll have to send it back for Jason to put a strap on it...Nutz!

No amount of logic or testimony from Pro-2A people will change the Lefties mind...If they fear they will lose their re-election that might. If they fear they will be held taken to court (personally) that might - but the legislators probably are protected from being sued (just guessing).

Of course until this package of insanity becomes law, this suite has to be on hold...But suing the Counties with the Activist Judges is LONG overdue at this [email protected] told me some are in progress some weeks ago (and he couldn't divulge details), but I'd like to see an update too.

We have a good chance in the Appellate, I believe Trump flipped it to majority republican...No guarantees, but with what Trump did, and the SC ruling, I'm putting my money on a most of the laws in this package will be declared unconstitutional no latter than the appellate. But something as ridiculous as a "thumb" break may stick, because relatively speaking it is a small matter and the courts might say that falls in the right of the state to specify (if they want) - lol.

Supreme Court struck down the no open carry in Hawaii after the appeals court upheld it so the open carry under this Murphy bill goes down, too.

The high court essentially told the San Francisco-based appellate court: See what the Supreme Court just said in a similar case, New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. Bruen, and get it right this time.
Add getting it right under Bruen generally means issuing permits to carry guns.
That is encouraging...On the more recent suite against NYC new batch of insanity, their appellate court which I believe is different than ours overturned the stay and put the crazy laws back into effect at least until the full trial happens.

That's what NJ will do, too. Has anybody who already applied and was approved before this was introduced on Monday gotten their permits? I bet they use pending legislation as a delay tactic.
As far as I know the permits are still coming out albiet at a slow rate.

Here is some more good news about Ocean, seems the new judge (Ryan) is vacating the list of intructions that Gizinski (previous judge) added if you request it...As he should, judges don't be suppose to creating laws. That is what the legislators due, and we have to follow those of course.

From Ocean County CCW on FB:

Frank Nigro
Author

"Got my letter from the new judge removing vacating the 12 restrictions order.

I don't know my GP number I never asked I got it originally mid September, I sent I copy of the letter and typed a request to Kim nye to have them removed about a week later I got a letter from judge ryan,I don't have to carry this letter it just said previous order has been vacated."
