May be a problem. The way I understand it, the individual business can make their own carry rules. That's how it was mentioned in some of these lawyer podcasts. The bill was written so the business had to say they allow guns but the TRO stopped that so now they individually can restrict it. For now. See what happens after all this is appealed but I don't think they can tell the business what to do.

I think we can fix that issue though.

It's not really a private place because it's OPEN to the public, no ticket or registration or membership needed to enter. Just like Walmart and Home Depot, people can just walk right in, OPEN to the public. So in reality, it's more of a public place than not. On flip side, Costco you need a membership to enter, sports events you need a ticket, not wide OPEN to the public.

I think once we get some lawsuits on this and prevail as I stated it (or just get State legislature to do it), then the place has two options, 1) to allow carry because it's a public place, or 2) they provide adequate armed guards and thus can ban public carry into that space.

I working with some AZ folks to get it done in AZ.
Valid points. But aren’t the casinos in AZ owned and run by Native Americans where they make their own rules?
***I just read, some are owned by outside entities on Native American land.

They’ll keep muddying the water which I guess they can. One thing I know for a fact is that retired and off duty LE carry wherever they go, prohibited or not. They’re not disarming themselves in a parking lot leaving their weapon at risk of being stolen.

NJ Courthouses need to establish a weapon storage lockers to accommodate civilians also. Something else that’s been overlooked I’m sure. Anecdotally, a friend of mine (LE) went to court some years back and immediately volunteered to surrender his weapon before entering; There was no provision or locker for his weapon to be placed while he was in the courtroom.

When I retired 16 years ago in NJ, I was informed as a retired LEO by the instructor who qualified me, I could no longer carry in federal, state, county or municipal government buildings or offices (court houses, post offices). To date, I haven't heard or read where that has changed.

So, many many years ago, the idiots in AZ legislature banned casinos, then at some point AZ State ran into Fed law tribal issues (aka IGRA), so AZ had to allow casinos on tribal lands.

AZ has very limited tax generating resources, so banning casinos was as dumb as it gets, because casinos are steady tax generating resources. Having that extra tax money would help everyone who lives in AZ, from schools to infrastructure to being able to create attractive incentives for big business to locate to AZ.

What do they do in Las Vegas and others regarding carrying in casinos?

Good question. We should post it in the General Forum. Somebody will know.
LV casinos decide who can carry or not in their casino. I don't know of any that allow it.
The issue boils down to if the place provides adequate armed protection for patrons (with signs that says "we are armed for your safety"). I think this is where the laws could become right if people would just push for it.

Nappen 120 is up.
"Thanks to the anti-gunners making all these moves now, we can establish strength to the Second Amendment, like never before. And we’re doing it now."

He also addresses medical emergencies where you are taken to a hospital while carrying and what judges' extra comments on the permit mean after the TRO.

Yeah, there's going to be a lull in the action until the next hearing is scheduled. GFH said the state wants more time to dig up some historic facts to back up their argument. Judge Bumb will tell them to produce them or go with what they have. They will stall it until she's had enough.

Jerk the judge around, now there is a sound tactic.

Even the judge is subject to the rules of the court in that locale. I suspect the anti's will exploit that fact as much as they can.
You can bet on that!

They don't have anything solid to back them up so they'll try anything to put off the inevitable.
They're like little children with a temper tantrum, they don't like the answer "No" to their petty desires..

NJ THROWS KITCHEN SINK AT
ANJRPC CARRY LAWSUIT IN
ATTEMPT TO END INJUNCTION

February 14, 2023. In a desperate effort to end the injunction currently blocking the carry-killer law, the State of New Jersey yesterday filed a flurry of papers opposing continued suspension of the law for the duration of the case and opposing the imposition of a new injunction on additional unconstitutional provisions of the law. A great deal of those papers make legally irrelevant arguments that are precluded by both the Bruen and Heller decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court. The arguments that are not legally irrelevant are a stretch and represent an uphill fight for the state.

CLICK HERE and select the various items under entry 15 to see the documents filed by the State.

The New Jersey legislature has also filed papers opposing continued suspension of the carry-killer law for the duration of the case and opposing the imposition of a new injunction on additional unconstitutional provisions of the law. Click the link above and select item 16 to see those papers.

ANJRPC's responses to both sets of papers are due on February 24. Please watch for further updates and alerts as the case progresses.

Well offhand it sounds like all of these communists have their collective panties clearly in a bunch. It points a pretty big finger at their suitability to hold public office in the first place. Hopefully the judge will see this for what it is.

ANJRPC CALLS FOR GUN OWNER
BOYCOTT OF ALL ATLANTIC CITY CASINOS
AS THOSE CASINOS ATTEMPT TO BAN CARRY
ON THEIR PREMISES

As with anything your money, your discretion.
That’s an easy one. As far as I’m concerned the casinos can all shut down and be demolished. They never did what they were supposed to for NJ (provide tax relief).
