I'm thinking about getting a set of genuine Buffalo grips for my new Colt '91 ss fullsize - I'd prefer some with the Colt pony medallions.

Can anyone give me some input on buffalo's durability (range gun and maybe ccw)? Looking at Ajax or Eagle specifically so any advice there would be appreciated as well.

Thanks all,

Mac

Buffalo horn is supposed to be extremely durable. I don't know anything about Ajax but I have a set of ebony grips from Eagle Grips that are quite nice. The company providing the grips should be able to put the medallions on, or a pistolsmith should have no problem setting them into the grips for you.

That's for the reply. Ajax offers the Colt medallions in silver or gold. Price is around $70.

Just got a whopper of an Amex bill the other day so my buying is done for awhile.
