It could have been because I took it apart to clean it after I brought it with 50 rounds shot through it. It didn't seem too hard to take apart and put back together again. I am new to the 1911. I did notbreak it down all the way. I had it sent back to Springfield to see what the problem is.

I am not sure I understand what the problem is exactly... Are you having failure to feed or do you have a round that is stuck in the chamber?
