Shane,
I saw you'd locked those redoubtably repetitive, redundant, and rehashative Stories Of Jordan threads.
In the great macrocosm of life, your decision was undoubtedly justified.
But, what, in the microcosm, if there's a need for belief in a Jordan? Virginia has now long outgrown hers in Santa Claus, and for her and others may there not be a positive value in a Jordan-figure to look to for Truth in this confusing modern day world of ours?
People WANT to believe, people NEED to believe, can we not give them something TO believe in?

This is Jordan's post in a nutshell.

5.56 NATO/9mm bad
7.62 NATO/.45 ACP good

and that is all.

I wondered myself - though that particular letter may be urban legend, I'm not sure that the contents are incorrect. I believe there have been reliable reports of soldiers in Iraq beeing issued M14s and .45 ACP pistols.

I'm guessing Bill Jordan. Former Border Patrol officer, gunwriter, exhibition shooter, expert witness, father of the .357 K-frame, etc., etc.

Discussing Internet urban legends doesn't qualify as a gun-related post.
