Does anyone have load data specifically for minimal recoil while maintaining major power factor with a .45?

After the power factor dropped I thought of working up a new load but my favorite is still

H&G 68 200 SWC
6.0 of 231
Loaded to OAL of 1.245 =or- .002
and a .468 crimp

I use 4.4 gr. of Hogdon's Titegroup with a 200 LSWC. It gives me a 170 power factor. As far as recoil I really don't know how it compares to others since I have used it exclusively for a year now. My OAL is 1.243 and I shoot a P14-45.

With the 200 H&G, 6.0/231 (exceeds the Winchester recommended maximum) from a 5" barrel gives 931 fps and PF 186. 5.2/231 gives 815 for PF 167. Those velocities were at 1.26 OAL. I have now reduced OAL to 1.25, and velocities are up slightly. My standard load of 5.6/231 is now starting at 900 fps for a PF of 180. If you want a minimum load, 5.2 should do.

Bingo, 5.2

Back in the old days, before pistols had comps, the standard load that everyone used was 5.8 and a 200 LSWC. But we loaded so we had left a good margin over the 175 PF.

We also loaded (many still do) 6.3 of WW-231 under a Speer 200 JHP for use on pins. A 195 PF, and sure death on pins.

I use 4.0 grains of Clays for 230gr. bullet PF is about 170. Very soft recoil, clean and accurate enough for IPSC.

Ok, next question.

Does a 230 or 200 give a lighter recoil?
(Loaded to the proper PF of course.)

Thanks
