Any thoughts on why this is happening?
230gr. S&B hardball .45ACP out of Colt Officer LTW. XS box stock. Brand new gun shot 50 rounds flawlessly but all spent cases look like this.

Do you see any brass on the gun where it's hitting... might give us an idea of what's going on.

Can't find any markings. I will shoot again next week and check closely for markings.

My best guess would be either a tight extractor or the ejector tip "angle", pivoting the case into the edge of the ejection port at more of a 90 degree angle, rather than up and out. The good news is the gun still runs 100%! If you have a spare, try a different extractor first, before messing with the ejector - they are seldom a problem. Your Officer's should have an "extended" ejector, I believe.
