I have built two guns with Caspian parts and think they are excellent. Also a good value compared to other high-end 1911 parts makers. On one gun, I used all caspian parts, down to the pin/spring set.
The Caspian sear and disconnector can result in a wonderful trigger feel w/o lots of extra honing.
I think they are the best. I built a bunch of them and they are all still like new. Gary Smith would know how many, all I know is they are wonderful guns when done right.I've never had a bad part from them and they do wonderful machine work, also.We built 18 of them in my class and they all would do 3/4" at 25 yards.
EGW makes the hardest sear in the industry. I plan to us a caspian slide and frame in my next gun, I have been told that one should except no substitute.
but what do i know
