I like my Ultra Carry II in a Versa Max II. I too am "big boned" and have no trouble concealing it. Make sure you get a good belt with it. I also have a Sparks belt and mag carrier. The whole rig is a little pricey, but in this case, you do get what you pay for.

I bought the Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 (IWB holster) for my ultra and it is great. When I ordered it they asked me what size belt loops I wanted with it (in 1/2" increments) and whether I wanted them in tan, dark brown or black. I am picky about stuff I buy and I have no complaints with it at all.

I have been liking the Fist holsters lately, I think you get more bang for your buck with IWB/OWB interchangeability, a ton of options and leather, Fist also has belts and accessories that will fit your Kimbers. Check out the gun list, here is the site.

You won't go wrong with a VM-II for an IWB . I also like Josh Bulman's PDL holster very much , even though I have several VM-IIs . What I had to say was that nobody mentioned the most comfortable OWB holster in existence IMHO, and in the opinion of many others on this board too. Almost EVERY other holstermaker has their own copy of it now , but there's none like the original. I submit for your approval....Lou Alessi's CQC-S.

Here's another pic of an older one with a P7M8. It has proven to be one of the absolute best OWB rigs for the P7 family due to it's ability to hold the short barreled , grip heavy P7 close to the body with great retention. And did I mention that it's so comfortable that you forget it's on ? I should have...Tom

<><> I can only answer for IWB
carry,,, as that is the only way
I carry...

For that mode I use an Alessi
CQC-I...

It is the most comfortable and
concealable IWB that I have,,,
and I've got more than a few...

The weapon rides nice and low
in the waistband,,, and places
the grip tight to the body...

They make unusual loking holsters, but after having a couple, I think they are the best thing going. They are kydex, and this is from someone who swore I would never use kydex aside from IDPA. Once ordered you will get it in 7-9 days MAX !!

Next best in my book, for price, value and quality is high noon holsters. Several very good tuckable IWB's. I couldnt even tell you how many Hidden Ally's I have. They are usually in stock so no delay in shipping.

<><> Yes the CQC,,, and the CQC-S
are OWB holsters...

The CQC-I is an IWB...

I belive the CQC has belt slots,,, the
CQC-S has snap loops... I would guess
the "-I" means that it is IWB,,, at least
mine is... :)

Anyone ever try that "SECRET SYSTEM 2"? It looks interesting enough.

No, I am still trying to figure out how it works. It seems to easy.:p
but interesting for sure.

Another interesting IWB holster is the pager pal! has anyone tried one of them? the pant pal and belt pal look cool too.

For carry right now I have 3 holsters that I use on a daily basis.
I am in the market for a "regular" holster but these have worked for
me for years:

1. Fanny Pack. I know. I know. But I am a gym-rat and everyone thinks
it's a walkman or something.

2. Clipdraw. This falls under IWB. On a Commander sized gun if I am wearing
a jacket, or sweater, sweatshirt, or as is the style these days untucked
dress shirt I am owning it big time. I highly recommend this product.

3. A few months ago I purchased a Blade-Tec IWB/tuck-able. It's Kydex so
it's light. It's not my preferred method at all. But if I have a meeting in
an office where CCW is questionable, or need to dress in a manner where
I have to tuck-in the shirt. I grab this holster. Public places, theaters,
nice dining establishments, weddings. This baby works and works good.
3 weeks ago at a wedding, took off my jacket and did the dance thing
with an all steel Ed Brown Kobra Carry and no-one was the wiser.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Greyson

I found out about the Milt Sparks Versa Max II here and I won't go back. I tried a couple of cheaper holsters (price and quality) first and regreted it. Save money go with the best. With luck non of us will ever have to touch a weapon we are caring but your holster see's non stop duty. I also recommend the Highnoon Slide gaurd for owb carry.
See ya!
